CYNAERA was built on a simple idea: brilliance doesn’t always clock in at 9 a.m. Our advisors and fellows are scientists, policymakers, technologists, and advocates who work when their health, creativity, and curiosity allow. We replaced traditional boards with digital collaboration cycles that reward insight and autonomy, not attendance.
How It Works
Our governance operates through quarterly Digital Dots, micro-collaboration cycles where advisors contribute asynchronously to projects in progress. Each quarter, CYNAERA releases a Digital Brief summarizing open research, partnership, or policy needs. Advisors select where they can make the biggest impact, submit their contributions on their own time, and our team integrates those insights into live projects, white papers, or public deliverables. Every contribution, whether a paragraph of analysis, dataset validation, or strategic connection , becomes a dot. When enough dots connect, they form something larger: a complete CYNAERA product, publication, or breakthrough.
Our Governance Tiers
The Scientific Advisory Board
The Scientific Advisory Board validates the science behind CYNAERA’s models, ensuring they meet the highest standards of clinical and translational accuracy. Members contribute peer review, model verification, and support the development of white papers and technical documentation that guide evidence-based innovation.
The Strategic Policy Board
The Strategic Policy Board advises on partnerships, legislation, and inter-agency coordination. This group transforms CYNAERA’s research into actionable policy insights, producing memos and frameworks that strengthen national preparedness and resilient health infrastructure.
The Community Council
The Community Council ensures collective safety remain central to CYNAERA’s mission. Members evaluate real-world patient impact, guide ethical implementation, and produce lived-experience audits and expanded access accountability reports that keep systems transparent and just.
The Tech Fellows Council
The Tech Fellows Council drives innovation through hands-on research and rapid prototyping. Fellows build and test CYNAERA’s AI and environmental-health tools, developing algorithms, dashboards, and adaptive systems that push the frontiers of digital health intelligence.
Accessibility as Infrastructure
We designed this structure for people who have been left out of innovation spaces , those living with chronic illness, disability, caregiving responsibilities, or systemic barriers. CYNAERA treats accessibility not as accommodation, but as infrastructure for better intelligence. This model ensures that no voice is lost because someone couldn’t join a call. Every insight, every idea, every line of code finds its place in the system.
